Role : Oracle Retail / Java Developer
Location : Greenville, SC
Duration :1 year+ contract -
Rate : 38-40/hr

Published Description:
Need an intermediate-level developer that will work with a team of
developers. Candidates will have good knowledge and skill in the practice
of software development and is responsible for adhering to coding and
documentation standards and participating in code reviews. The successful
candidate will have well developed communication skills and is able to work
effectively as a member of the team. This role will work at our client's
worksite in the Greenville, SC area.
Duties of the role:
.Organizing and Using Information
.Participating in meetings to understand requirements.
.Coding quality programs from functional and design specifications while
maintaining development standards
.Unit testing
.Interaction with QA Analysts and Testers in the recreation of reported
problems.
.Complete documentation and unit testing of all code generated.
.Potential on-site participation at customer locations for resolution of
issues.
.Other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements:
. 1 - 3 years of software development experience.
. Computer Science Degree, Business / Management Degree or
exceptional professional experience.
. Demonstrated good communications skills and the ability to work
as a member of a development team.
. Demonstrated understanding of and ability to use the programming
languages and tools required in the conduct of this position.
. The technical expertise needed for this role is the following in
order of importance:
1 - 3 years Oracle Retail Development experience
1 - 3 years Java and J2EE experience
Oracle 10g DB experience
Oracle Application Server experience
IBM WebSphere Application server experience
IBM DB2 experience
