Security Server QA Engineers Location: Multiple locations in CA Rate: Must be highly competative Responsibilities: Server QAs are primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements as well as ensuring extremely high quality and availability in server components. Testing will be conducted by executing test cases and automation scripts as well as analyzing server logs and database entries. Script development and maintenance is also expected throughout project lifecycles as components are added. Attention to detail and analytic skills are required to troubleshoot and report defects early in the product lifecycle. Server QA engineers will be working with map data plus configuration settings so basic shell commands are required. Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years QA experience, preferably with a software company that produces consumer applications, preferably with a client/server architecture - 2 to 3 years testing in a white box environment - 2 to 3 years UNIX experience running basic shell commands - 1 to 2 years scripting experience (PERL, shell, etc) - 1 to 2 years working with Oracle or similar database - Ability to learn new concepts and highly complex topics quickly - Ability to work in a fast paced environment Preferred but not required: - Proven experience developing and defining a server test approach for a brand new product or service - Python experience - Location Based Service experience - Web Development experience - Understanding of high availability services, scalability, and load testing Total Resource requirement: 4 Break-up: 1. 2 Resources with the above requirements. 2. 1 Resource with additional understanding of security testing experience (SSL, security audit, etc.). 3. 1 Resource with strong team and project lead experience.
