Role : Midlevel SQL Server DBA
Location : Baltimore, MD
Duration : 6+months
Rate : $47/hr

I will be testing all candidates before speaking with them so include their

Anyone you send me today or over the weekend I will try to get a test out to
before Monday.
· Draw on knowledge and experience in database administration utilizing
Microsoft Operating Systems/SQL Server RDBMS, SAN/Storage Subsystems,
Application Development/Support LifeCycle, RDBMS Design and SQL Reporting &
Analysis Services to provide database administration for MS SQL Server 2000,
2005 and 2008.
· Handle large volumes of data extraction, load, processing and very
large databases (VLDBs).
· Provide support to the Microsoft SQL Server architecture and tools,
Microsoft Suite of business intelligence tools including Analysis Services,
Reporting Services, and Data Transformation Services/Integration Services.
Automate administrative tasks.
· Provide standardization and consistency across enterprise SQL Server
environment.
· Utilize experiences and expertise in IT development life cycle and
data access frameworks, physical and logical database architecture, design
concepts and implementations to provide support to the development process,
including database code, structure and performance reviews, change
management, code migrations, source code control, best practices mentoring
and implementation.
· Must exhibit proven experience in backup and recovery techniques.
· Apply advanced knowledge of T-SQL syntax (Data Definition Language,
Data Manipulation Language, Standard Query Language, system stored
procedures, DBCC commands) to create, diagnose/debug and optimize database
objects and code.
· Experience with Log Shipping, Clustering and Database Mirroring
