Duration: 3 months *Job description:* Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software. Reviews new or modified programs, including documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines. May review computer operating logs to identify program processing errors. Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards. May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards. May conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs. Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience *Experience:* - 6+ years of experience in software and / or program testing. *Knowledge/Skills:* - In-depth knowledge in testing and evaluating performance of programs/applications/software * * *Requirements:* - PeopleSoft 9.0 Required - PeopleSoft 9.1 Definite Plus *Tech skills: *-Relational Database backend validation (understanding of tables, views, structures) -SQL writing – mid level to advanced -Experience with all types of testng: Funtional, System, Integration, User Acceptance, Regression, Load/Performance, Security etc -Backend validation of data and systems…includes XML, system access, Web security, any end to end data validation -Experience testing all components internal and external to appliations (core application, reporting, data feeds, integration to other systems, notifications) *Soft skills & other requirements:* -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Must have strong teamwork skills but also be able to work independently -Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple deliverables and technologies -Ability to think outside the box and adapt to any given situation -Experience preparing and execution of Test Strategies, test plans/test cases -Testing and quality metrics/reporting -Understanding of fundamental QA methodology and practices -Ability to collaborate across different organizations (Dev, QA, Business, etc) -Industry Certifications a plus -Knowledge/experience with Requirements validation and Requirements to testcase tracebility -Experience maintaining test case and defect repositories -Ability to provide estimates of effort and time around different QA Phases and deliverables -Knows how to effectively manage risks and issues and can appropriately escalate if needed -Formal signoff on quality and completion of validation efforts for each testing phase up to official ‘Go Live’ -- Best Regards Kumar -- Introduce business in 3800 cities.
