They need only Datawarehousing ETL candidates who have used SSIS as a tool. * Duration: long term Rate: Open Strong *ETL*/*SSIS* developer for a long term consulting opportunity in New York City NY High level of analytical and problem solving ability Demonstrated experience and knowledge with the following: o Relational database concepts (entity modeling, table design; keys, indexes) o Data warehousing Concepts o SQL syntax o SQL Server Transact/SQL: stored procedures, triggers, views o DTS/*SSIS*/*ETL* experience is must o Entity relationship diagram modeling skills including normalization and (physical) dimensional database modeling skills The *ETL* Developer will be responsible for the following: Design, develop, maintain, and interface complex *ETL* services using *SSIS*. Design, develop, and maintain business and physical data mappings. Maintain code and application libraries, instructions, and technical documentation *Requirements:* Demonstrated skill and expert programming knowledge using Microsoft DTS/* SSIS* technologies to develop *ETL* applications; minimum of 3 years experience. Demonstrated skill and ability in the development of database applications ( ORACLE or SQL Server ) :Minimum of 5 years. Demonstrated skill and ability in the development of Data warehouse applications ( Minimum of 1 year ) . Demonstrated skill and ability in interfacing programmatically with a variety of enterprise systems. Experience in SQL Server 2005/2008 database design, development, and administration. Demonstrated advanced experience in reviewing and trouble-shooting complex business workflow designs Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Use of reporting packages such as Microsoft Reporting Services a plus Knowledge of Data Vault methodology is a plus.
