ASP.NET / C# Developer with Windows Media Streaming Exp Location: Portland, OR Contract: 6 Months Looking for a senior Application Developer with streaming media in a Microsoft environment. The task involves converting video files from various proprietary codes to WMA or something that can be streamed to a standard media player like windows media player. Setting up streaming services and embedding the media player in our web based application. The application will need to interact with the media player to monitor actions through the media player APIs. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in computer science or other relevant degree. 5+ years in one or more aspects of commercial applications development: * Windows Media Services * Windows Media Player * Four plus years of experience working with current Microsoft technologies. * Strong ASP.NET, and C# Skills * JavaScript and AJAX coding abilities * Strong analytical and technical aptitude * In depth knowledge and successful use of modern programming techniques and paradigms. * Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle and operational maintenance environment * Effective communications Skills. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Help define and replacement video streaming solution. * Code video conversion service * Configure streaming services * Implement media player integration. * Implement solutions using available technologies. * Work with QA to develop test plans.
