Position: Voice/Data Engineer Location: NJ Duration: 2 weeks Rate: $50/hr The Cisco Voice/Data Engineer directs and participates in all activities related to the review and configuration of Verizon VoIP, network facilities and special on-premises equipment that will meet the customer's communication requirements. Complete Description: VDE3 - Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) The Cisco Voice/Data Engineer is responsible for assisting in the configuration of all technology and connectivity involving Cisco Unified Communications and data networks. The Voice/Data Engineer will review telephony and data interfaces and systems that function within a converged network between buildings. General wiring is excluded, the Voice/Data Engineer ensures that any specialized routing is properly deployed, installed and configured according to code. The Voice/Data Engineer is also an expert or certified in audio/visual, teleconferencing, and Cisco voice mail equipment. Years of Relevant Experience - 2 plus years Preferred Education - 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study Role Description All roles specified in VDE2 plus the following: - Familiar with Cisco CUBE and voice gateway routers. - Prepare configuration specification. - Lead a team of installers. - Monitor installation progress.
