Job Title: MS Access and VBA Developer Duration: 6+ Months Location: Detroit, MI Need only OPT's/GC/Citizens/EAD's..... These are IN-HOUSE projects for our vendor and are exclusive to them. They have all the staffing rights and are moving very quick... Can get interviews by tomorrow for right candidates.... Need 2 references along with submittal, preferably US Citizens references..... Project tasks include the following: Review the current process, particularly the PC-based components. Review the MS Access database and code set. Update and create documentation to describe the current state (mapping the process steps, queries, etc.). Recommend a solution from a technology agnostic perspective to improve and streamline the process, within time and budget constraints. Create all artifacts for the solution (design documentation, unit test plan and test cases). Construct the solution and update documentation, including process documentation, as required. Requirements and Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a developer who is an expert with MS Access, VBA and MS SQL Server and has successfully managed and executed a number of projects on this technology set as the sole resource. Skills and experience for this position include the following: 7 + years Microsoft application development with an emphasis on development in MS Access and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). MUST have outstanding skills and experience creating applications using MS Access and VBA, and MS SQL Server / Transact-SQL (query language on MS SQL Server). 1 + years Experience with SAS. 3 + years experience managing and creating artifacts for relevant phases of the SDLC (design, construction and testing). These may include: technical specification documentation, process diagrams, application flowcharts, entity relationship diagrams, Data Mapping (source to target) diagrams, project plans and user documentation. 3 + years experience creating unit test plans and cases assuming a white box testing method; performing unit testing (executing test cases, identifying defects); creating and maintaining the traceability matrix, creating test scripts and test data to support test cases for all phases of testing (unit, integration and system); assistance with integration, system and regression testing.
