Position: Web Developer Location: GA Duration: 6+ months *Position Description:* Develop web pages, templates, scripts and other processes that produce content and syndication for the NBA.com <http://nba.com/> group of Turner Digital Media Technologies. • Follows tasks through a development life cycle (coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support) in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards. • Contributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities. • Participates in the analysis, definition, and scoping of efficient, cost effective application solutions. • Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g. business development, database development, web designers, end-user training). *Qualifications* EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 5 years experience developing Web sites for business purposes. Thorough understanding of the web and web browsers, their capabilities and their limitations. Thorough knowledge of front-end web technologies, especially JavaScript (both in general and with libraries such as prototype, scriptaculous and jQuery), HTML, and CSS. Experience in Unix command line. Experience with server-side programming (e.g. in perl, JSP, or PHP) also required. Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Attention to details, a must. Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively. QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Development experience with content automation and source control a plus.
