*Job Description for the Onsite Sharepoint Lead/Architect*

*Job Details Overview: *

•         Should have architected solutions based on Sharepoint 2007

•         Should be aware of most Microsoft technologies in a breadth
fashion, and should have depth in at least two areas (for example, .Net 3.x,
SQL Server, etc.)

•         Should have 3 years of relevant experience in Architecting





*Role Details *



•         Architecture

•         Should know how to approach Sharepoint product fitment for a
solution

•         Should be aware of potential design considerations in Sharepoint
context

•         Should have architected multiple enterprise class applications

•         Should have knowledge of various architecture decisions, and
non-functional requirement considerations, in general and specifically in
the context of Sharepoint

•         Should have created architecture artifacts for engagements

•         Will be responsible for architecting enterprise-class solutions,
and for assessing architected solutions on Sharepoint for Internet and
Intranet scenarios

•         Will be responsible for building architecture views and preparing
solution architecture documents



*Technology*

•         Should be aware of most Microsoft technologies in a breadth
fashion, and should have depth in at least two areas (for example, .Net 3.x,
SQL Server, etc.)

•         Should know Sharepoint capabilities and limitations well

•         Must be aware of architectural paradigms and patterns and be able
to apply them to definition and assessment exercises - should be aware of
current architecture paradigms like SOA, S+S, etc.



*SDLC*

•         Should be able to understand functional and non-functional
requirements

•         Should be able to estimate and validate efforts for proposed
solutions on Sharepoint

•         Should be able to illustrate and document a solution architecture,
and interact with the team to provide appropriate guidance

•         Should be able to guide the team through development to
Implementation

•         Will be responsible for translating requirements to architecture

•         Will be responsible for gathering non-functional requirements
