Experience with Cobol, CICS, DB2, Oracle are also highly desired. 1) Develop custom software applications utilizing AdvantageGEN and COBOL toolsets to provide a competitive advantage to our business. 2) Execute all phases of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) These phases include: a) inception, b) requirements gathering, c) analysis, d) design, e) construction, f) testing, g) implementation, and h) ongoing application support. Knowledge of Agile development methodology a plus. 3) Provide day-to-day support to mission critical custom software applications. *Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or technical area or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. · *5+ years experience in IT systems design and development preferably in medium to large corporate environments. 3+ years experience with Enterprise adopted toolset. Experience in logistics and/or transportation management and business analysis is desired. * · System knowledge and skills may include CoolGen, COBOL, SQL, DB2, Oracle, and the suite of Microsoft applications. · Well developed written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal management. Well developed active listening, facilitation and presentation skills. · Knowledge of basic business principles and transportation management. · Solid knowledge of IT software development life cycle methodologies and processes. · Solid knowledge of client server protocols, web, and other object oriented technologies. · Well developed time management and prioritization skills. · *Demonstrated* *analytical capabilities including complex technical problem solving.* *Exposure to managing customer expectations.* · Ability to learn and understand functionality of multiple transportation-related systems. · *Ability to establish solid business relationships and work effectively with senior business and client contacts.* · Ability to work and participate effectively in a dynamic self directed team environment. · *Ability to mentor and guide others in technical skills.* · *Ability to communicate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify* *complex technical information for non-technical people.* · Ability to perform 24/7 on-call duties on a rotational basis.
