Duration is 3-4 months, Rate is40-45/hr on W2 Software Engineer Consultant - SharePoint & SQL Integration Description: As a Software Engineer Consultant at client you will be involved with the design, deployment and integration of SQL database instances with SharePoint 2007 Standard. The project team is tasked with creating a SharePoint portal to display information stored in a SQL backend database. The SharePoint site needs to be dynamic and integrated with other corporate SharePoint sites. Primary Objectives: · Responsible for the integration of SharePoint and SQL server to generate a dynamic SharePoint experience · Responsible for the design and documentation of the integrated solution · Create the presentation layer between a variety of in house tools, the SQL backend database and SharePoint 2007 standard · Evaluate and make recommendations to management for new and/or updated tools and process improvements. Qualifications: Education · BA or BS with 5+ years experience as a SQL DBA, developer or other equivalent work experience. Must have strong and relevant knowledge of SharePoint development. Technical Knowledge and Expertise · SQL 2008 · SharePoint 2007 Standard, knowledge of integrating SharePoint webparts · Experience with programming languages: .NET or other relevant languages Communication and Soft Skills · Must be able to work independently with time-sensitive, competing server deployment projects. · Strong communication skills in interacting with management, engineers, and business unit contacts.
