Startup Insurance Company with an Aggressive roadmap seeks a seasoned individual with 5-7years experience working within an Infrastructure Environment supporting Windows SVR/AD Environment. Will be based out of the NY Office reporting into the Manager of Enterprise Systems. We are seeking a Senior System Admin that has expertise in VMWare/Citrix and very strong Storage experiences who can lead these technologies at Ironshore. The candidate must also posses a good understanding of the other technologies with the Systems Domain. Should have experience in the following Infrastructure Area's but are not limited to and preferably top handed in VMWARE/Storage/Citrix. . Great understanding of Windows 2003 Active Directory (Security, Administration, GPO, FSMO roles, Sites and Services, replication, Domain Controllers.) . Windows SVR 2003/2008 . VMware (Virtual Center, ESXHosts) Preferable strength - Building out Clusters, SRM, Fault Tolerance. . Symantec Backup Exec/CommVault/DPM or comparable Backup System. . SAN administration, Snapshotting, Replication, iSCSI (NetApp/Equallogic) . Citrix XenApp/VDI experience- Citrix Presentation Server, building out Farms. . Knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server . Knowledge of Server Hardware IBM, HP, Blade Chassis infrastructure . General Network understanding. . Experience in Microsoft Sharepoint Services a plus. . DR knowledge and understanding Job Responsibilities will include: 1. Support current Bermuda Office Infrastructure and help facilitate the migration of Bermuda Systems into Montreal/London Datacenter. 2. Assume responsibilities for maintaining Storage environment. Creating and allocating space for iSCSI LUNS, configuring replication and snapshotting strategies. 3. Assist with Backups for Entire Global Infrastructure. 4. Troubleshoot software/hardware related issues revolving around Microsoft operating systems and host hardware. 5. Assist with Citrix Farm Environment. This includes configuration on the Presentation Server level as well as troubleshoot specific issues within the environment. 6. Build and configure Windows Servers (physical & virtual). 7. Build, configure, and troubleshoot VMWare specific items- this includes, ESXhosts, Clusters, Virtual Center, Update Manager, SRM, Fault Tolerance, Resource Pools. 8. Assist with patching specific infrastructure and business applications. 9. Ability to Document builds and procedures. Ideal Candidate should be able to thrive in a time-critical, results-oriented environment. The candidate must be organized and self-disciplined. Candidate should have the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and meet timeframes and deliverables. BA degree in Computer Science or Related field preferred. MCSE is a plus but not necessary. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
