Company: Dell Services Location: Woonsocket, RI Duration: 6+ months Pay Rate: $58/hr CTC Position Description: Storage migration on EMC frames using host based (ie Veritas volume manager) tools or EMC tools Experience supporting storage migrations including OS patching, HBA firmware and driver experience (Leadville preferred) and Veritas upgrades. The hiring manager is looking for a strong Solaris admin with at least one of these types of experience. If you have any questions, please let me know. Primary duties include supporting a major initiative to migrate SAN storage utilized by Solaris and AIX servers (typically large Oracle data bases, web and application servers) across several EMC arrays onto (1) EMC VMAX array. Required Skill Sets: * Determining and implementing required OS (Solaris, AIX) patches * EMC Powerpath and Solutions Enabler upgrade * HBA driver and firmware upgrades (Emulex, Qlogic) * ODM definitions redefine * Veritas utilities for mirroring, migrating storage * Past experience with Unix and SAN storage migrations, including documenting back-out plans and honoring change management windows Secondary project would include: supporting a project to migrate Sun Solaris applications (data base, web and application servers) to IBM AIX.
