Location : Minnetonka, MN
Duration : 6+ months*
Description
The Sr. Technical Analyst – Basis Administrator is responsible for
supporting, administrating and maintaining SAP Basis
infrastructure for Service Delivery. The Sr. Technical Analyst – Basis
Administrator is also responsible for monitoring, controlling
and reporting on the availability and performance of SAP systems and their
connections and generates change requests as necessary.
Principal Accountabilities
35% Provide SAP Basis maintenance activities
Capacity Analysis – technology lifecycle management,
patch planning, efficient use of existing technology
resources and recommending future needs.
Addressing authorization issues
Ensuring transactional integrity (Lock objects, failed
updates)
Providing functional and technical documentation
35% Provide Operational Support through:
Resolving system problems through research and applying
course of action
Performing system administration tasks
Providing incident management, including complex
troubleshooting across technologies
Problem management, including root cause analysis
Manage and coordinate configuration, change, release,
capacity and availability capabilities
Manage Migrations and support system copies through
transport management
30% Conduct system monitoring and performance reporting
Co-Manage technical monitoring tools (Solution Manager).
Assist in the configuring of new alerts and
in the determining
of thresholds for alerts
Monitor, control and report on availability and
performance (conduct workload analysis)
Qualifications
Required:
5+ years experience in Basis Administration.
5+ years Application Administration with solutions in a Unix/Oracle platform
5+ years Unix experience and Oracle Database experience
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with others to successfully
develop and implement related tasks
High motivation
Must demonstrate good judgment, tact, and a clear purpose while under
pressure in a very dynamic environment
Strong customer relationship skills, strong written communication skills
Able to work non-traditional hours when requested
Business fluency in English
Good communication skills

SAP NetWeaver 2004S
SCM ICH 5.0
SAP SRM
SAP BI (BW)
SAP EP
SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 4.0
Database: Oracle
AIX (IBM 64 & 32 bit servers)
SAP SCM/APO/LiveCache
SAP XI (PI)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline
