Production DBA experience working in a mid to large sized company preferred. * Install, configure and upgrade Oracle server software and related products in a UNIX environment. * Oracle RAC experience preferred * Create and configure Oracle databases in a UNIX environment. * Insure recoverability of Oracle databases in a UNIX environment. * Refresh development and test databases with production data * Create, monitor and size tablespaces as necessary * Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures. * Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security. * Provide reliable, recoverable and scalable database/computing environments to store and integrate company data. * Responsible for 7x24 support of production databases. * Set up and maintain documentation and standards. * Experience in Oracle database backup and recovery (RMAN, EBU, scripts). * UNIX shell scripting experience a plus. * Experience in SQL tuning and Oracle database performance tuning. * Knowledge of networking and enterprise systems architecture a plus. * Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet project deadlines, and work under pressure. * Excellent communication, customer service and people skills. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, staff and employees. * Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
