Client is looking for a *Business Analyst - Skokie, IL*. This is a long term contract position. The Hourly rate is 50-65/hour. *Must be local to Illinois * *JOB SUMMARY: * The Business Analyst (Sr. BA) is responsible for understanding the client business process and how that process is automated by the IT applications. He/she is responsible for translating business needs so that technical personnel are able to effectively automate the processes and meet the business requirements. The BA understands the business process and the technology and bridges the gap between the two groups. The SBA is responsible for participating on project teams to ensure that the business requirements are understood and met by the project team. Specific responsibilities may include: as-is business process flow documentation; to-be business process flow development and documentation; user requirement documentation; functional requirement documentation; effort estimation for project tasks; review and input of design alternatives; communication planning and execution; test planning and execution and training plan development and execution. The Sr. BA will support incident and problem resolution when business processes are impacted or involved. This includes development and documentation of known errors and their associated work arounds when necessary. Facilitating communication with project managers, developers and project sponsors and business stakeholders is also required. The BA’s principal duties and responsibilities include: process analysis, process re-engineering and business and functional requirement definition; communication planning and execution related to specific projects; test planning and execution related to specific projects; training plan development and execution related to specific projects; rollout coordination and production support related to specific projects; incident and problem resolution; and change management and coordination *Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications: *EDUCATION: • High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related degree preferred. *EXPERIENCE: *- A minimum of 3 years experience as an IT business analyst required including: - A minimum of 3 years leading projects - A minimum of`1- 3 years experience in process analysis and requirements documentation required including: - Facilitating large groups in requirements gathering and - Facilitating requirements walk-through meetings. - A minimum of 3 years of combined experience with eCommerce initiatives such as cXML Purchase Order experience. - A minimum of 2 years experience as a member of an application development project team through all phases of the SDLC - Experience in test planning and execution and training documentation and execution preferred. - Experience with implementing Ariba is preferred. - Experience with High Technology Industry and computer product distribution is preferred - Exposure to Oracle E-Business applications is preferred. - Knowledge and experience with ITIL processes a plus. - Experience working with a SaaS (ASP) provider a plus. - Knowledge and experience with PMM a plus. *CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: *• ITIL Foundation Certification preferred. *SKILL REQUIREMENTS *• Excellent PowerPoint presentation creation skills; demonstrated excellence creating highly-effective presentations for CxO’s • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate across all levels of management and interface with numerous departments. • Excellent testing capability (including documentation) and quality process understanding. • A strong understanding and a successful track record of participating on teams through the entire software development life cycle. • Must be technically oriented and be able to gather and document complete requirements that can be used to support technical design • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills • Good adaptability/flexibility and team work • Ability to think creatively and implement ideas • Must drive for results to achieve needed business results on time within budget and the agreed to level of quality • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision *Required Skills:* cXML Purchase Order Business Analysis skills SDLC *Please complete the following skills-matrix and send back with your updated resume.* Full Name: Degree Major: Total IT exp: Total Experience as a Business Analyst: Total experience in leading projects: Total experience with cXML Purchase Order: Total experience as a member of an application development project team through all phases of the SDLC: Total experience with test planning and execution and training documentation and execution: Total experience with ITIL processes: Do you have ITIL Foundation Certification?
