The SAP System Administration Contractor will be responsible for project work and some day to day technical support of the corporate SAP systems. Specific job duties include implementing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting the technical environment required by SAP. Individuals in this position work at a technical level with an understanding of SAP, its underlying database, operating system, and hardware platform. The ideal candidate will display senior level skill capabilities in a wide range of administration duties for SAP products. Initial project assignments will include administration, configuration and usage of an existing SAP XI environment and establishing and properly securing a new SAP PI 7.1 environment (beta, development, staging/QA, and production). As part of the SAP System Administration team, the contractor will interact with the SAP development teams, other technical teams, and business stakeholders to optimize and maintain overall SAP reliability, availability, security and performance. Production support includes troubleshooting systems as well as responding to and resolving client requests. Daytime use of a company supplied pager to handle urgent requests may be required. Ability to work independently on small to medium projects or as a team member on larger projects is required. Candidates must have familiarity and experience with administering SAP systems. The successful candidate must have at least five years experience supporting SAP systems including ECC 6.0, Enterprise Portal 7.01, SAP PI 7.1, and SAP Solution Manager 7.0. Demonstrated technical expertise, strong problem analysis, decision making and reasoning abilities are required. The ability to effectively communicate and work with team members, other support teams and SAP system users is also required. Experience administering any of the following software products is a plus: SAP Business Warehouse 7.0, SAP SRM 7.0, and SAP Composition Environment 7.1 as well as any of the SAP Business Objects tools.
