Position*: Java Build Engineer*

Location*: Phoenix, AZ*

Duration*: 6 Months*

Candidate will serve as senior level configuration and build engineer.
Candidate will be responsible to design solution and execute plan to migrate
some existing JAVA applications from CVS/Clear Case to Subversion for
version control, automate application build through Maven and integrate the
build process through IBM Build Forge.



In this role, candidate will be expected to administrate and maintain Java
application code/configuration in various version control systems including
Subversion, Clear Case, CVS. Use Maven to enhance dependency management and
release management of all middleware services, use Maven to administrate
sharable components and service reuse patterns. Develop technical
implementation plans to integrate various version control systems with Build
Forge to achieve full build automation.



Write Maven/Ant scripts to automate application build. Document application
code/configuration, automate build, coordinate application deployment and
migration code/configuration changes through various environments. Candidate
must be strong in: Subversion and Maven. Must be competent in: JAVA, J2EE,
Clear Case, Ant, CVS, XML, Shell Scripting. Nice to have: Cruise Control,
Clear Quest, Perl, log4j, JSP or similar web presentation tier technology,
Web Logic 8.1+, Tomcat, Build Forge

Objectives
-- Lead the effort to map Legacy systems to new Data Warehouse
-- Create data dictionary for new Data Warehouse

-- Utilize ER Studio to create comprehensible mapping documents and data
lineage

*TASKS *
-- Update Data Dictionary
-- Content Development, requiring research of existing Data Stores, Data
Models, Data qualification and standardization rules, system project
documentation.
-- Dictionary metadata capture, organization, and relationship accuracy.
-- Development of a Business Element master with tightly coupled derivative
fields, Logical grouping within Standard context.
-- Linkage of Business Element master names to physical instance names in
multiple data stores.
-- Capture and highlight key elements for core data functions such as
Matching, De-Duplication, and Qualification.
-- Reference Data quality rules for key elements as appropriate.
-- Using E/R Studio content and updating E/R Studio content as necessary.
-- Interviews and dialogue with technical staff with regard to the data
content, data standards, data process, data services and data rules.
-- Capture and linking of standardized code sets to Elements.
-- Sharepoint loading, organization and presentation of DD content.
-- Update Physical Data Mapping
-- Use E/R Studio to capture and document the mapping.
-- Research existing data models, data structures, table content (using
Toad) excel mapping files, and various data sources for dimensional and
transaction data to build the mapping metadata in E/R Studio.
-- Capture data transformation methods / rules.
-- Interview developers and examine existing artifacts.
-- Publish the mapping from E/R Studio in a form for non-technical, viewing
(SharePoint).
-- Update data models in E/R Studio using reverse engineering methods.
-- Publish models to SharePoint Knowledge Base.
-- Review and walk through models with team members and others.
