The candidate should be a well rounded, energetic self-starter capable of adapting to a dynamic work environment. The Individual will work with a team of experienced IT professionals and business partners during the scoping, analysis, design, construction and implementation phases of software development lifecycle. They will be responsible for delivering high quality design solutions to SVB’s global business community. The position requires strong leadership skills, strong technical skills, the ability to work within a global team environment, and a broad knowledge of IT technologies, specifically in areas of data warehousing and business intelligence. The position also requires solid experience in business intelligence. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing and delivering data architecture solutions and models. In addition they will be responsible for providing leadership in logical modeling/design of physical databases, recommend methodologies, provide leadership and guidance for database architecture design and strategy, define best practices, policies and procedures. The individual will be hands-on with Business objects technology for ETL development and Universe design with strong Oracle and SQL background. The job also requires good verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to support business users with right attitude. The individual should have a passion for data and a passion for supplying their end users with that data. Skills Required 1. Work closely with business leaders and the technical community to define / design, develop and maintain a comprehensive, end-to-end enterprise data warehouse architecture. 2. Excellent understanding and demonstrated experience around Data warehouse – at least 4 years 3. Expertise in Logical and Physical Data Modeling is mandatory 4. Excellent understanding of Oracle database and features related to DW/BI – at least 10 years 5. Excellent command over SQL and PL/SQL development at least 5 years 6. Act as a Technical Lead on all data warehouse technical development activities and to ensure compliance of standards. 7. Good understanding of Business Objects Data integrator and Business Objects XI . 8. Experience working with business and IT to define / design, develop and maintain a comprehensive, end-to-end enterprise data warehouse architecture 9. At least five years of proven successful track records in the development and implementation of large, complex corporate data models and data warehouse, data marts projects. 10. Should be able to Plan, develop, maintain data integration solutions for data warehouse to accommodate and integrate customer data requirements. 11. Establish plans for Data Warehouse Infrastructure requirements and develop Data Warehouse capacity plans Qualifications 12. Experience with tuning and support of data warehouses and data marts. 13. Experience in understanding business processes and objectives, and translate these into practical data structures.. 14. Ability to work with multicultural teams and geographically dispersed teams in multiple time zones 15. Demonstrated Experience in requirements gathering and technical specification definitions 16. Demonstrated Experience in requirements gathering and technical specification definitions – at least 3 years 17. Excellent time management 18. Professional communication skills 19.
