The candidate will be responsible for acting as Team Lead for the
administration and maintenance of the network operation center system.
· Acts as a Lead for the administration and maintenance of the network
operation center UNIX/LINUX systems, Oversees the creation and updating of
servers, services and remote administration, service phone extensions and
routing.
· Acts as Lead for the administration and maintenance of computer
stations and software.
· Serves as a Lead for troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving,
and disaster recovery. Performs complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving,
and disaster recovery.
· Assists in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems,
programs, hardware and software.
· Acts as Team Lead for creating network, setting up laptops/desktops,
and updating servers and workstations.
· Serves as Lead for the resolution of all trouble calls/emails and
enters work orders into our tracking software.
· Acts as Lead for the administration and maintenance to Internal
Systems programs.
· Interacts with internal clients to resolve escalated help desk
issues.
· Acts as Lead for inventory management of software licenses,
software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
· Acts as Lead for the purchasing of software, hardware and other IT
supplies as approved by management.
· Promotes responsible usage and care of equipment.
· Organizes and directs network installations on site surveys.
· Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user
requirements.
· Designs and optimizes network topology's.
· Directs and leads preparation of engineering plans and site
installation Technical Design Packages.
· Develops installation schedules.
· Mobilizes network installation team.
· Directs and leads preparation of drawings documenting configuration
changes at each site.
· Prepares site installation and test records.
· Coordinates post installation operations and maintenance support.
· Analysis, design, and installation of local and wide area nets; and
analysis and installation of communication systems.
· The Lead Network Technician must be able to lead a staff of
technicians.
· Provide security architecture, policy, and design guidance for
business systems and networks.
· Provide Information Security Certification and Accreditation Support
for applications, systems and networks in accordance with appropriate
customer policies and processes.

*A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field

· *Eight (8) years experience *
· *Must have experience with the following:
Languages Used: Shell scripting (bash, csh, ksh), Perl, helpful to have
some
HTML, or Javascript knowledge.
Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL4/5, CentOS, Ubuntu), UNIX (Solaris 10]
Applications: Apache 1.3, Oracle HTTP server, Oracle App server and helpful
to
have some Oracle DB server background.*
