* * We have an opening for an *Application Developer – NYC, New York.* This is for a* *6+ month’s contract position. The Hourly rate is *DOE*. Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations. Knowledge of the different financial instruments is desirable although training will be given to the right person. Experience in a support and/or development role, particularly in a trading environment with a math / analytic background, security industry business knowledge for example Equities, Fixed Income and derivatives would be a plus.
