Job Description SQL Server Developer will help design, develop, and maintain queries, views, and PL/SQL - SSIS/DTS packages required by the Back Office Support System's SQL-based Operational Data Store and Data Warehouse. The Developer may also participate in the business analysis process, conduct data quality investigations, and assist in the development of test plans and test data. He or she will work closely with ETL developers and may assist in the development of ETL solutions with SQL and Informatica Education & Experience BS degree in Computer Science or related program Required Skills: 8+ years of SQL Server development experience, as a hands-on developer. 5+ years of experience on database-focused projects. Experience working with normalized and star schema databases. Experience in all phases of product cycle: gathering project requirements, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining software. Preferred: Experience in Data Warehousing. Knowledge of and experience in the Insurance industry. Experience with financial reporting applications. Experience with time-variant database designs. Technical Skills Knowledge of ETL tools, especially Informatica. Knowledge of XML, especially with SQL server XML features. Knowledge of reporting tools, especially Cognos. Knowledge of UNIX or Linux shell scripting, especially Korn shell. Key Competencies Substantial professional experience with SQL Server as a hands-on developer. Knowledge and professional experience with programming languages, and software development standard/practices. Strong analytical, organizational, communication and data management skills .Ability to work from business requirements to a solution Location: Jersey City,NJ Duration: Permanent/Full-Time Salary Range: DOE Must be a U.S Citizen/Green Card/EAD Holder in order to be considered for this spot.
