- VB .NET (for application development, not web development)
- Oracle 10g/SQL (tables, procedures, packages, functions, sequences,
etc.)
- Crystal Reports (Active Reports helpful but not required)
- Web Services development; Understanding of Web Services architecture
- Visual Studio .NET 2005
- Visual SourceSafe
- ASP .NET Web Forms (web development)
- Debugging and testing skills in all layers of the application:
Isolate and resolve technical problems; Identify in which layer
the change
is needed; Ability to debug each layer
- Refactor when necessary
- Performance tuning skills and good design practices in all layers
- Developing a tiered, distributed application in an IT environment
- Experience with every phase of development from requirements to
deployment and ongoing maintenance thereafter
- Microsoft Office Suite of applications
- *Behavioral Skills*
- Proactive personality; Proactively learn about problem and research
solutions
- Quick study
- Work independently yet know when to ask questions
- Careful, methodical, yet timely style of obtaining a firm grasp of
the business and code logic behind the original design before
making changes

· Minimum of ten years of varied system development experience is

*Educational Requirements*
· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
related field
· Five years of varied system development experience may be
substituted for the degree requirements (above and beyond the ten years
necessary in the knowledge and experience section)
