Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) * Test product releases, including interacting with development, test, and program management groups to understand testing requirements and troubleshoot problems. * Develop test software, including assessing testing requirements and verifying proper testing coverage and procedures, maintenance of existing test suites, development of new tests to cover new features and test holes, and automating test suites. * Develop and executes reusable and maintainable automated tests, test applications and code. * Develop test harness using a development or scripting language. * Execute automated tests, ensuring builds are kept to high quality standards and test holes are found and filled. * Submit, track and regress any problems or issues found during testing. * Satisfy testing requirements including complete coverage of all test categories such as regression, deployment, reliability, scalability, globalization, accessibility, stress and performance. * Work with test team to continue to define and implement testing methodology, standards, and practices throughout the test organization. * Escalate problem issues to appropriate management or development staff when needed. * Mentor and train test developers, driving implementation of robust test automation and assuring the quality of the design and code going into the product. * Participate in the development process by attending various design, code, and test requirement reviews. * Provide status reports as required. * May act as a lead over a project team. Qualifications: # A BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred, or equivalent experience. # Experience shipping at least one commercial product and full release cycle in SDET Role. # Developing/ testing solutions with established languages such as C/C++, JAVA, VB, etc. # Previous working experience with relational database (SQL or Oracle) structures and query techniques. # Testing of data layers, business logic layers, UI or presentation layers and XML web services.
