Hi, Hope you are doing great… We have an opening for an *Application Packager– Houston, TX.* This is a 4 Months contract position. The hourly rate is DOE.** Description: This position is for the Active Directory (AD) project that must be completed by 12/31/10 for our 1,300 advisor laptops and 400 field desktops. To be classified in this level, the employee’s primary responsibility must be to create solutions for problems involving a complex degree of difficulty for desktop support, server support teams and supported business groups in the installation and maintenance of applications and servers. Create tools and application deployment packages* to facilitate the maintenance process. Related responsibilities typically include the following: · Package and deploy Windows applications with WISE and LANDesk to locked-down PCs. · Create complex scripts using Win Batch and WISE. · Create and update tools with vendor products to assist clients with software installs and operating system installation. · Work with other technical and user groups to enhance and facilitate the use of automation tools and processes. · Develop innovative solutions for complex problems (typically involving a greater scope or complexity in terms of connectivity, users, platforms, etc. than the Analyst level).
