* * * * *T-SQL Developer* * Duration** : 1year* *Location: Stevens point ,WI * Scope of work Type of Application: T-SQL Developer The insurance premium calculation system being built is a batch processing environment that loads financial transactions from a policy source system and then calculates premium earnings, produces statistical data, and sends data to downstream corporate systems. Eight years of historical data will be converted to provide a wider range of reporting capabilities to the business, as well as provide existing premium transactions for inforce policies initiated prior to go-live, to assist in processing policy changes. Assignment Description: Based on high level requirements, design and develop the conversion programs to convert data from fixed width ASCII flat files to SQL Server tables. Validate converted data to ensure accuracy, and run the conversion programs to convert historical data into the Premium Repository. Assignment Responsibilities: Under general supervision, assume primary responsibility for designing, developing, and testing the conversion programs based on high level requirements; validate converted data to ensure the conversion was performed correctly and data is complete and accurate compared to its source. Role responsibilities will require working with IT developers and subject matter experts in a team environment to understand the requirements for mapping the data between the systems. The conversion programs will be developed using T-SQL, the source is fixed width ASCII flat files, and the target database is SQL Server.
