Duration is 12+ months. Rate is up to 30-32/hr Max on W2 Interview process: 1st round telephonic followed by F2F (In-person interviews are at your cost.) PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: This Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for a variety of activities as they relate to the overall enhancements and maintenance of the systems supported by the Sales Compensation Administration (SCA) department. As a member of the SCA team, this position will play an integral role interfacing with MIS and the Sales and Account Management (SAM) finance teams. This Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will be expected to successfully operate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, handling multiple competing project priorities and overlapping SDLC schedules. The primary responsibilities include ensuring accurate payment calculations, data, and financial reports through the precise translation of compensation plans into crediting logic in the Varicent system. Additional responsibilities include the timely identification of crediting issues and the development of an efficient solution of the problem. This role will continually seek systems efficiencies and ensure the optimal performance of our systems and all times. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Include but not limited to 1. Demonstrate mastery of key SCA systems including Varicent, ICP, Datawarehouse and territories 2. Proactively operate within an overlapping and iterative SDLC process, enacting change to the Varicent system calculations, relational table structure, master data, and reports which support the sales incentive compensation award processing and payments 3. Responsible for the crediting life cycle within the Varicent System 4. Translate business crediting requirements into functional specifications for crediting enhancements. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve records fallout due to crediting or system logic issues 6. Identify and resolve data conflicts with business partners which contribute to records fallout 7. Identify ways to develop and implement best practices to improve existing systems, processes, accuracy of payment and accrual calculations, and all related reporting and analysis 8. Work with management to address system interpretation of compensation plans and changes that impact the Varicent calculation process 9. Fully understand the compensation plans and ensure the consistent application of crediting rules the Varicent system 10. Partner with SCA business systems developers and MIS on a regular basis to ensure system enhancement and maintenance needs are addressed with accuracy and met in a timely and accurate manner 11. Proactively implement enhancements to reduce manual effort within SCA 12. Attend meetings with other departments to discuss changes in policy/procedures, compensation plans, incentives, etc. that could impact payment calculations and accruals 13. Complete ad-hoc analysis and special projects as defined by the needs of the business REQUIREMENTS: 1. Four-year college degree required; business, MIS, computer science required 2. 6+ of industry experience as a software / business analyst 3. 2+ years experience as a software engineer 4. Compensation systems experience preferred 5. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word and PowerPoint) and advanced knowledge of MS Access and Excel is required 6. Experience operating in MS Access, and SQL Server relational databases, designing and creating tables and relations, views, data extraction and SQL reporting scripts and services is required 7. Experience developing in VB/C#, .NET, HTML, XML 8. Familiarity with Business Objects and SAP a plus, but not required 9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with various levels within the organization including senior leadership 10. Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving, including data analysis, and validation 11. Ability to translate business requirements into corresponding technical specifications 12. Ability to develop solutions independently and also work collaboratively in cross-functional teams 13. Ability to exercise independent judgment, and ability to identify and improve processes 14. Creative, innovative and able to successfully seize opportunities and develop process or systems improvements as they develop 15. Proven ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple and complex projects, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in fast-paced service-driven, customer-facing environment 16.
