Job Description: *Role: Datastage Developer* Duration: Long Term Location: Portland, OR *Required Skills:* -7+ years work experience -Strong experience on Datastage with XML -Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a multi-platform environment, including, but not limited to application development or database development. -Must be able to develop efficient and effective program and system solutions in solving highly complex business problems. -Proven ability to implement and deliver software solutions through the iterative life cycles using Agile or Waterfall style methodologies. -Must be able to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and/or business needs. -Must be able to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex programming and system problems independently. -Able to work well with groups of business customers and IT partners. -Able to provide direction to others in analyzing and solving program and system issues and problems. -Able to provide technical direction and solutions to other team members. -Strong familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase database systems and reporting methodologies. -Strong writing, documentation, and oral communication skills. -Be able to plan and manage his/her work. -Thorough knowledge of all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. -Strong understanding of the principles of Data Warehousing, including the use of Fact Tables, Dimension Tables, star schema modeling and snowflake schema modeling. -Strong knowledge of data modeling support for numerous strategic application development projects. -Excellent experience working with Oracle, PL/SQL and writing stored procedures and triggers. *Sample Tool set and COTS knowledge requirements:* Extensive ETL tool experience using Ascential DataStage Version 7.5 or better, including designing and developing jobs using DataStage Designer, DataStage Manager, DataStage Director and DataStage Debugger and Parallel Extender Oracle,Sybase,MS SQL Server,XML,UNIX (AIX ksh),Harvest.
