*Position: *UNIX Shell and Perl developer ** *Location*: New York City *Duration*: 6+ months * * *Role:* This position is to join a team that builds and deploys software in a pre-defined standard environment. The candidate will become familiar with in-house and 3rd party products, build custom in-house products, and create deployment routines to configure software for multiple environments. This position will require off hour support of applications. Periodic reporting on the status of promotions in support of line of business project portfolio will be required. * * *Skills:* · *The candidate should have 4+ years experience in UNIX Shell and PERL programming (Java a plus), development tools, and development turnover process. * · *Expertise completing official builds and releases with a source code control tool such as ClearCase required. * · *LINUX or Solaris System Administration experiences a plus. * · *Candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent problem solving skills, have the ability to handle changing priorities, and have excellent communication skills.* *Qualifications* *• Required Skills: Perl, Shell scripting, Ant, ClearCase, SubVersion, WebLogic Administration, and Maven. • Platforms: LINUX, Sun Solaris, XP • Database Systems: Familiarity with SQL queries, stored procedures in databases like Oracle, Sybase, and DB2) a plus. • Background in any of the following a plus: GemFire, Composite, Tibco EMS, Apache, BEAs Portal • Background in any one or more of the areas in Financial Services a plus. • Track the progress of projects and highlight potential impact • Excellent analytical skills - ability to understand business processes and flows and possess the ability to determine impact from all angles • Excellent communication skills - ability to listen, understand, and document business needs to technology and ability to write in a concise manner • Ability to work independently and manage priorities • Coordinate with other applications involved in the end to end process flow to ensure we deliver a complete solution to the Business • Able to meet deadlines under high-pressure environments and having dealt with diversity of professionals, clients and team members • Adheres to Software Development Lifecycle standards and maintains high quality project documentation and program status for senior management reporting • Individual must be able deal with ambiguity and set direction based on agreed business and technology objectives* Thanks & Regards Adem Technical Recruiter Vertigon Consulting Phone: 201-402-1610 Fax: 732-398-0506 Email: [email protected] -- Introduce business in 3800 cities.
