*Location: *Reston, VA *Duration:* 6+ months *Description:* To successfully design, manage, execute and deliver independent assignments - as part of a team - consisting of web, mobile and social media solutions for Program partners *Roles / Responsibilities:* Develop web-based applications in Java 5 as well as PHP/Python/Ruby Implement architecture / solution from Enterprise Architecture Team Oversee solutions implementation after they have been conceptualized from Architecture team Adhere to and enforce New Media code quality standards definition and enforcement and continuous integration policies/practices Assist in tool analysis/decisions among delivery team Assist in architecture/design in Tier 1 as well as non-Tier 1 efforts Assist in the planning process for projects by providing LOEs (both ROM and detailed levels) Focus on New Media specific thought leadership/architectural/technical needs such as framework selection MUST HAVE *GOGGLE WEB TOOLKIT* *Required Technologies:* - Object oriented programming - Java 5 - Spring core - PHP or Python or Ruby on Rails - Web Services (REST, SOAP) - Continuous Integration servers such as CruiseControl, Hudson or Bamboo Code validation tools such as PMD, CheckStyle and Lint Freemarker or equivalent templating engine Amazon EC2 and other AWS offerings OR a competing elastic cloud computing offering to Amazon's Social networking API's such as Facebook Connect, Facebook Apps API and Twitter API Mobile App Development for iPhone, Android, JavaME, BREW or DangerOS Content Management Systems such as Drupal and/or WordPress, or similiar competing tools Ant Git and/or SubVersion HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript XML * * *Practices:* - Test Driven Development (TDD) - Continuous integration - OOD/OOP - Asynchronous and synchronous source code reviews Agile (ex.
