*HP **OpenView Administrator*

*Job Description/Skills Required:*

·         A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience with 2 years
experience in HP OpenView (Operations Manager) administration.

·         Study client’s existing HP Openview environment which includes
integration with notification system (enotify), HP BAC, OPSMVS and
Autoticket application.

·         Strong knowledge on OMW, install / uninstall OVO agents, agent
configuration, OMW policy management, troubleshoot OVPA issues - Monitor,
support & troubleshoot incidents & problems reported in OVO environment,
create / modify policies on client’s request, OVPA troubleshooting.

·         Incident Management and Service Requests (mainly L2 & L3).

·         Perform root cause analysis on the major incidents/problems.

·         Upgrades of OVO agents, apply hotfixes and patches.

·         Escalate technical issues to HP Support and closely work with HP
Support engineers.



*Key skills required:*



·         HP Openview – 2 yrs hands on experience in production environment.


·         Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills at a complex
level on OMW and NNMi.

·         Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing
environment concepts.

·         Maintain and Support OVO management servers and agents.

·         Administrating experience in HP Software products (OMW, NNM).

·         Experience in creating new different types templates and policies.


·         Working knowledge on Help Desk Tool - HP Service Management.

·         Past experience working with HP (licensing, support) - Should have
work experience at client’s place.

·         Knowledge transfer to offshore resource on client environment

·         Perl and VB Scripting knowledge.

·         Certifications: - HP Openview certified - ITIL V3 Base
certification.
