*Location: Fort Washington , PA---F2F Interview* *Duration: 12 Months*** * * This position analyzes, codes, tests and documents moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Incumbent may assist with preparing specifications from which programs will be written. Associate’s degree in a related field required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred. Demonstrates working knowledge of 2 (preferred) programming languages, report production, and database structures. Demonstrates working knowledge of software and hardware tools supporting primary system operations. Demonstrates knowledge of systems development, hardware/software and project methodology, preferred. Demonstrates effective customer service. Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills. This includes the ability to provide clear explanations of problems and resolutions. Demonstrates general business knowledge and knowledge of insurance theory and terminology. Demonstrates effective problem solving skills. Demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and timeliness in order to meet customer service expectations. Develops basic project management skills. Basic PC Skills: Spreadsheets, Wordprocessing, Database, E-mail *Bank Data Repository (BDR) Developer / Systems Analyst Overall Responsibilities * · Work directly with lead developer in BDR restructuring efforts. ** · Create detailed data mapping specifications for data feeds into and out of the BDR. ** · Reverse engineer existing data feeds to compile specifications where documentation does not already exist. ** · Compile complete documentation including. ** · System specification. ** · Procedural documents. ** · Systain documents. ** · BDR Road map. ** · Process flows.** · Data flows. ** · Stored procedure definitions. ** · Incorporate corporate standards when appropriate including standards for data security. ** · Work independently to complete requirements efforts for multiple simultaneous requests. ** · Build relationships with source system support teams to gain insights into data that they manage and to help determine the “gold source” for data elements that are required to meet business objectives. ** · Create logical data models to depict relationships among data. ** · Compile requirements for miscellaneous reporting and data feed requests that are going to internal and external support vendor development teams. ** *QUALIFICATIONS Education: *Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related field.* REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE * · *3 - 5 years Oracle development. * · *3 – 5 years in business/systems analysis (technical projects). * · *High level of experience in eliciting and documenting requirements for solutions in Data Warehousing and ETL processing. * · *Strong analytical capability. * · *High level of proficiency with multiple requirements elicitation techniques including interviews, questionnaires, JAD sessions, etc. * · *Experience with formal System Development Lifecycle methodologies. * · *Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills. * · *Must possess exceptional interpersonal and client relations skills. * · *Demonstrated ability to develop and grow productive working relationships with all levels of business and IT management. * · *Experience in Financial Services industry. * · *Logical Data Modeling. * · *Proficiency with Oracle – PL/SQL. External tables,SQL Loader, complex queries. * · *High degree of experience with compiling database requirements (ETL / data feed specifications). * · *Proficiency with requirements documentation. * · *Planning and time management. * · *Unix korn shell scripting a plus. * · *Process modeling (Data Flow Diagrams, Flow Charts, etc.). * · *Experience with Oracle and UNIX performance tuning.* *Percentages of Time Spent on each of the Principal Accountabilities in Level Scope: *1.
