Job Title: Java/J2EE Lead
Location: Detroit, MI (Southfield)
Duration: 12 Months
LOCALS are given first preference - Need only OPT/EAD's/GC/Citizens ONLY!!!
This resource will need experience with Java, Oracle and python. Will deal with
the daily, minute to minute, second to second issues of the project. Will
manage a team of developers and their daily tasks. Will have the ability to
answer technical questions of the developers and advise them on technical
solutions.
This resource will report to the Technology Consultant and will have an
architecture background
Leads and delegates design and implementation details into the team for
assigned feature and functionality
Develops detailed technical work plans and schedules and is accountable for
monitoring and reporting on project metrics, issues, risks and overall
progress. Identify, communicate and report significant deviations in quality,
cost, or schedule
Gains a clear understanding of contribution of assigned tasks to the overall
team or project schedule
Provide implementation assistance and information about existing
implementations to peers
Maintaining and building core competency of technical and business knowledge
and sharing it with colleagues to help drive the future direction of your team.
Collaboration with Business Lead(s) to produce high quality solutions to better
support successful production release
Demonstrate strong team work to foster effective team dynamics and cohesive
working environment; which include mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Collaborate with peer teams to resolve design and implementation details as
they evolve
Required Skills and Experience:
3 - 5 years relevant leading technical team
3 - 5 years technical experience in software development
Experience with large enterprise projects, preferably associated with the
health insurance industry
Demonstrated strong leadership skills
Excellent understanding of risk management / mitigation
Able to effectively interact with program sponsor, business client, and the IT
division resources
Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
JAVA and Oracle skills needed
