*Long Term Contract* * RESPONSIBILITIES* * Work with product management, business development, and operations to understand the business and technical requirements. * Write functional specifications, work with development and enterprise architecture to define overall software and service architecture. * Work with technical resources regarding design decisions; provide interface to Solution Manager. * Work with the solution manager to create a roadmap for your projects and driving all aspects of delivering it, such as planning, specs, working with feature team and partner teams, managing releases etc. *Ensuring delivery of your projects via engineering best practices *FUNCTIONAL AREAS* * Customer Experience - Application of Microsoft technology into customer facing software experiences in retail stores. *QUALIFICATIONS* * Several years of experience with a focus on delighting customers with deliberate software-influenced experiences * Familiar with application technologies, web applications and services, and * Windows Presentation Foundation, Silverlight, and Windows Communication Foundation* * Ability to thrive, succeed and deliver in a startup environment * Understanding of the *Retail (Brick and mortar, ecommerce) industry welcomed* * Ability to establish technology strategy, develop and implement a pragmatic strategy, and ensure the successful delivery and handoff to operations.
