Data Architect or Data Modeler - Level 3,
Local to Chicago only

Description:
 Typical Accountabilities: Defines the overall data architecture standards, 
guidelines, and governance Ensures that architects are implementing and 
following the architectural framework Approves information patterns, or 
artifacts for use and deployment Reviews patterns, and governs and promotes 
pattern adoption Stays abreast of external industry trends and recommends new 
ideas or solutions Develops detailed understanding of macro  business drivers, 
trends and future capability needs Drives the adoption of the information 
standards through governance process Develops the information architecture 
roadmap to contribute to International Business Solutions Strat Plan/IGP Trains 
and builds competence and maturity in the distributed architecture community 
Delivers architecture awareness throughout International Business Solutions 
Involved in, or oversees, the mobilization phase of critical projects, ensuring 
alignment with target architecture and agreed framework and provides ongoing 
consultancy/support to the delivery and continuous improvement programs Defines 
KPIs for monitoring progress of the journey and reports on a regular basis 
Collaborates with functional teams to define key data requirements to support 
business needs Defines information architecture for common solutions, including 
master data management, metadata management, data quality, data to support 
analytics Delivers information architecture through the following concepts: 
Common Information Model (CIM) Logical Data Model (LDM) Master data management 
Data Sourcing and Data Warehousing Information delivery and distribution 
Identifies mandatory information needs at the and the underlying data sources 
Establishes universal rules on how to interpret data Keeps an information 
architecture alive through active governance Serves as an advocate for best 
practices Complies with IT controls (e.g. business continuity, disaster 
recovery, SOX, risk management, CMMI, ITIL, corporate audit, etc.)
Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required Strong mix of 
business and technology skills required Articulate and persuasive leader with 
strong oral and written communication skills Very strong financial 
analysis/modeling skills required
Skill Level: 5+ years experience with CPG clients Coordinating others work 
while involved with multiple work streams 3-5 years prior data analyst 
experience preferred Logical Design Demonstrated experience with large scale, 
multiple business solutions across divisions or enterprise Demonstrated 
experience with multiple platforms Demonstrated use of Zachman or RUP Framework 
Data Modeling Tools Demonstrated ability with more than three tools Ability to 
communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to 
cross functional groups and senior levels. Ability to influence multiple levels 
on highly technical issues and challenges Demonstrated experience to influence 
and coordinate third parties and suppliers


The Business Objects Data Services (BODS) Architect/Developer will be 
responsible for designing, developing and implementing Real Time Data Flows 
using the Data Services toolset. Proven experience with design and development 
of XSD, WSDL and real time work flows are a must.

 WSDL


Previous BODS experience is required (2+ years preferred)
Experience in address standardization and Customer Matching/Deduplication 
preferred

Local to Chicago only, contract till end of year (possible extension through
