Applicant must have the ability to determine their own component test requirements. Prior use of JBoss and its components including Log4J and Hibernate is desired. The ability to effectively communicate and work with team members and other technical support teams is also required. The person being engaged will also need demonstrated technical expertise and strong problem analysis and reasoning abilities. Knowledge and experience with the Enterprise Application by Sparx is a plus. UML Designer with EJB3 JAVA Development abilities: Our client is in the early stages of an application conversion project. This project will take an existing Excel prototype and convert it to a web-based application which will be used to demand bids. The project will implement a way to automate the presentation of load and price forecast information to facilitate analysis, apply the desired demand bid characteristics, and generate the resulting demand bids and export them to their internal applications. Background: The application is being converted to a web-based application using Adobe FLEX for the user interface and JAVA web services running on JBoss for back-end services. The use cases and high-level design is complete. A UML designer is needed to complete the low level design and assist in the development to reduce the length of the project timeline. The converted application will be obtaining data from several internal and external sources including Oracle, csv files, web services, etc. Displays will include graphical, interactive interfaces as well.
