I *Here are the details of the Project: *LOCATION: Fremont CA or Concord NC DURATION: 4 Months (possibility for long term) *Senior Firmware Engineer (Embedded)* *Job description* · Resolve clients' questions or problems at the customer site in the areas of system configurations/setup, product functionality and bugs/enhancements. · Troubleshoot firmware and hardware problems at customer site, acting as liason between company and the customer. · Develop new applications and adapt existing applications to customer needs. *Experience and Skills* *Minimum Qualifications* · BA/BS in Computer Science, EE or equivalent experience · 5+ years of experience in embedded C/C++ development · 3+ years in a customer-facing software development role *Qualifications required:* · Excellent written and verbal communications since this position also serves as the support liaison between company and customer · Linux kernel, driver development and porting experience · Firmware and hardware troubleshooting experience · Board bring-up of embedded ASICs and silicon evaluation boards · Technical hardware specifications knowledge · Languages required: - ANSI C (gcc) - C++ - Make - Subversion · Experience with Linux IDE’s and debuggers · Strong test capability to ensure that firmware produced is well-tested and meets customer requirements for quality and performance. *Other desired skills* · Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, SNMP, IPMI, CIM, SMASH, FTP, TFTP, NTP, SLP, Platform Management: I2C, SMBUS, PMBUS, WS-Management, SOAP, XML.
