Sr. Linux System Admin in Boston, MA. Duration- 6 months. Rate open. *Job Title: * Title: Sr. Associate, Infrastructure/Manager (Systems Administrator) Location: Boston, MA *Responsibilities: * · Meet the service levels agreed upon with the Enterprise Applications team. The SLA comprise of managing environment uptime, back up and recovery and helping resolve networking issues. The environments covered are Production, Dev, Test, and UAT. · Setup and administer new environments and application installations · Design and implement hardware architecture for new applications or upgrades for existing applications · Manage infrastructure assets – maintain inventory, refresh the inventory at end of life, maintain and perform upgrade schedule · Partner with vendors to come up with solutions · Be aware of latest market trends, propose solutions for better managing the Enterprise Application Infrastructure · Ability for international travel up to 25% *Experience Guidelines: * * * · 4-7 Years of progressive experience having led a team of 3-5 people · Experience in being a system administrator in an environment that has Oracle Applications on RedHatLinux, EAI/ESB, Business Intelligence/Datawarehouse, and custom built application in Microsoft technologies is a must. Demonstrate proficiency in shell scripting, networking fundamentals, hardware (servers) and trouble shooting skills · Experience in designing hardware architecture for solutions such as Oracle applications, datawarehouse, portal, ESB/EAI. The hardware design includes server, storage and networks.
