Location: CHICAGO Duration: 6 + months *Description:* Perform Java web application development tasks and assist with migration to a JBoss app server platform. Complete object oriented design, development, and testing tasks for current and new internet functionality. Support applications using a variety of technologies, including JSF, Tiles, and PL/SQL. Interface with our Systems Architect to perform architectural design tasks & ensure compliance with established processes and procedures. Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining Java web applications (J2EE, JSP, JSF, Tiles, and Servlets), PL/SQL, and HTML code; performing unit testing; running performance tests and tuning performance via server settings; resolving defects; work on short-term R&D projects; and working as part of a team reporting to a Project Leader. *Requirements:* · Bachelor's Degree required · 6+ years of programming experience required. · 4+ years Object Oriented Analysis and Design required. · 4+ years of server-side Java web application (J2EE, Servlets, JSP, Struts, JSF) experience required. · Experience with Java web frameworks (Struts, JSF); *JSF experience is required.* · Experience with open source development tools (Eclipse, Subversion, Ant) within a standards-based environment required. · *JBoss application server experience (version 4.x and higher) required – special emphasis given to candidates with experience migrating applications to a JBoss platform* · 3+ years SQL required. Thorough understanding of SQL and relational databases, experience writing queries, debugging stored procedures, and debugging code.
