*Title: Test Engineer* *Location: San Diego, CA* *Length: 1 Year+* * * *Engineer 2: 3 – 5 years Experience* *This is a Test Engineer position within the Core BSP (Board Support Package) test group with the following responsibilities:* ** Test development, execution, troubleshooting and problem resolution on embedded Brew/WindowsMobile/Linux/Standalone CoreBSP platforms* ** Focus on testing drivers for hardware blocks such as USB controller, SD/MMC controller, Touchscreen controller, Clock Regime, DMA engines and I2C/SPI controllers* ** Test the interactions between drivers and with CDMA/UMTS Modem and Multimedia applications* ** Profile and optimize CPU usage, performance and power consumption of the various SW drivers* ** Interact in a team environment with developers, system engineers and testers* ** Develop test automation in C/Perl* * * *Flexibility in work assignments and ability to multi-task are crucial. * * * *Responsibilities:* *Good understanding of computer architecture and real-time operating systems is desired* *Familiarity with Flash Devices, USB and other peripherals is desired* *Good understanding of the software development cycle is desired* *Knowledge and experience in BREW, Window Mobile, Linux, Symbian is a plus* *ARM experience is a plus* *Exposure to pre-silicon hardware simulators and emulators is a plus* *Assembly language experience is a plus* *Knowledge and experience in Bluetooth, GPS, Graphics and WLAN is a plus*
