Trust you are doing well. * * *Please send resume to [email protected] only. * For the first 8-12 months this position will be in Parsippany and then transition to Princeton NJ Duration: 12 months + Job summary The Systems Engineer will be responsible for ORCC?s Corporate and Production Windows infrastructure. The Systems Engineer will provide end-user PC support, coordinate configuration/installation and general troubleshooting of PC hardware and software. This includes assessing, architecting, project planning, implementing, documenting, and supporting complex systems infrastructure environments. Ideal candidates must have experience in computing environments. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2003,2008), VMware Certified Professional (VCP). Responsibilities - Serve as primary corporate contact on IT projects - Provide operational management and support for corporate and Production IT infrastructures - Perform Patching of laptops, Desktops and Servers. - Set up and install laptops, Desktops and Servers - Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems design. - Maintain disaster recovery planning and documentation. - Perform troubleshooting activities on production servers off-hours (nights or weekends) if required to minimize impact to operations - Administer Microsoft Servers running: Windows Server 2003/2008. · Monitor, Troubleshoot server software and hardware · Manage, support and maintain Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory. · Perform hardware upgrades and new installations · Establish backup and recovery procedures for network based systems · Interface with external venders as necessary · Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for the purchase · of products or services · Maintain knowledge base of current technology with continuous self study · Perform other duties as assigned Types of Projects · IT Assessments · Trouble shooting system errors and hardware failures · Resolving problems with the data backup system · Identifying and correcting security concerns · Instituting virus prevention and remediation · Design and build computer systems using best practices for high availability · Developing systems documentation and a basic set of operating procedures for · The day-to-day maintenance of your systems · Support and Monitoring of systems on a regular, scheduled, and emergency basis Qualifications · Certifications including: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE · At least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and · Responsibilities specified · Microsoft Windows experience including system design, implementation and · Management · Ability to relay technical information to both technical and non technical · Personnel · Strong written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving · Or troubleshooting skills · must possess excellent time management skills · Ability to travel to ORCC?s NJ Offices and Newark data center when necessary.
