Trust you are doing well. *Please send resume to [email protected] only. * * * *OBJECTIVE:* Work as a senior member of a systems development team with primary technical responsibility for the architectural design, development and implementation of subsystems in support of ProQuest’s applications. The incumbent will be considered an *expert in Oracle xml db technologies.* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Required: · Participates in architectural design and development of Oracle components for the XML Content Store. · Technical expert in Oracle database, PL/SQL development, SQL optimization and Oracle XML DB. · Writes, tests, debugs and implements application software, including performance and capacity analysis/tuning. · Brings technology to the business through research, conferences, etc. · Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the development of system requirements and high-level design. · Participate regularly in the inspection of requirements, design work and test plans. · Provide guidance for production activities and crisis management. · Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Required: · 5+ years of data architecture/development experience with large-scale, complex n-tier scalable systems in a 24x7 production environment. · 5+ years experience in Oracle 10g, 11g, SQL, PL/SQL, developing Oracle APIs. · 2+ years experience working with Oracle XML DB implementation. · 2+ years experience working with XML, using DTDs and Schemas to define and interpret XML structures, XPath. · Extensive experience in tuning SQL statements on large and complex datasets. · 1+ year experience working with Unix/Linux. · Effective execution working in a distributed team model, including successful consensus-building. · Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. · Capable of functioning independently and as part of a team. *Preferred:* · Previous experience using XML DB implementation on Oracle 11g · 1+ years experience using XQuery. · 1+ years experience with HTML and web technologies. · 1+ years experience using Java and J2EE technologies.
