*Position:* Java/Flex developer *Location:* Pittsburgh, PA *Duration:* 11 Months *Responsibilities:* Migrate a J2EE application based on ESRI’s Java ADF framework to one based on ESRI’s Flex API and Server Object Extension technology. This will include design, prototyping, development and testing. The contractor will participate in all phases. The contractor will need to work somewhat independently to learn the current application through reverse engineering java code. Candidate, therefore, should have proven a strong ability to learn new technologies and systems independently in the past. Excellent communication skills are required (7 or 8 on a scale of 10). The candidate must demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to work independently at times. Contractor does not necessarily need to be strong in both J2EE and Flex but a combination of skills is preferred Education requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline. *Minimum years experience in the following areas:* Minimum 2 years Flex development. Minimum of five to seven (5) years of Java development and J2EE experience. Minimum of five (5) years of system design. Two (2) years of Hibernate, Spring, JMS, SQL, and JDBC experience.
