WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS -
Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of network and
computer operations. Knowledge of limitations and capabilities of
network and security systems and techniques used in these systems.
Ability to install, configure, modify, upgrade, and troubleshoot
network and security appliances. Ability to detect network attacks or
suspicious behavior and use network resources to isolate and secure
systems. Ability to train others in the daily management of these
systems. Ability to document network and security layouts and
configurations. Ability to prepare reports, briefings, evaluations,
and recommendations for best practices and policies governing network
and IT resource use for existing and proposed resources or solutions.
Other Special Requirement
Advanced experience with Cisco ASA, MARS, Routers, NAT, DMZ, and
various network and security equipment, software and appliances
including anti-virus, anti-spam appliances and software.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
10 General network management (Firewalls, Routers, NAT, DMZ, IPS,
IDS)
5 Advanced level network security work.
10 Installing, configuring, and supporting PCs (XP/Win7) and
Windows
Servers (2003/2008)
5 Configuration and troubleshooting Cisco ASA5520 (or equivalent)
,
Cisco MARS 20, Cisco AIP
5 Experience migrating network transport technology (network
connectivity)
1 Borderware Spam and network Security Appliance (preferably
MX400 or
SP 560 models)
Certification Must have CCNA certification.
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
Familiarity with SolarWinds and/or other network
monitoring
software or appliances
Familiarity with Coretrace
Familiarity with BlueCoat Proxy
Experience working in a UNIX environment
CCSP Certification
