Details include: Job Description: The Senior Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for understanding the business processes and functional requirements for Periapproval business unit and coordinate delivery for Application Development/IT. Participate in assisting business unit to meet group goals and objectives, and translating the business needs to technical needs and vice versa. The Senior Business Analyst differs from the Business Analyst in terms of experience, size and complexity of the business supported, and scope of the projects he/she helps drive. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS - Leads development of functional business requirements and helps users assess relative priorities for technology solutions for projects of all size. - Manage the delivery of the Application Development and IT Quality Control team including timelines, budget, requirements and change control. - Coordinate all business requests received by IT, including change control, problem reports, and inquiries from initial request through resolution. - Guides users through I.T. processes, SDLC test plans, and training materials associated with technology solutions and participates in training and user test processes. - Provides project management for small and medium-sized projects for execution. - Works collaboratively with peers in Systems Development, QA, and PMO for coordinating overall delivery of technology solutions to business groups. - Helps partner with functional business unit members on how to work with IT. Act as liaison for the business with other I.T. groups (SDM, Corporate Security, and Corporate IT). - Facilitates the resolution of escalated helpdesk issues. - Serve as back-up to BRM for costing and business development needs. - Support the mobile device inventory and requirements for the Periapproval business unit. - Teams with senior leadership and the application development group or suppliers to ensure a timely, accurate and cost effective solution to IT business needs. - Interfaces with the application development and QC teams to validate test results for new applications verifying that they meet the requirements of their business group. - Understands business processes and priorities. Leads evaluation of alternative solutions and participates in making technology recommendations to enhance business operations. - Develops strong working knowledge of industry and trends; uses this information to maintain continuous improvement. - Assists in providing recommendations to technology business requirements, business objectives, budgets and timelines. - Provides coaching and assistance to more junior level BAs within work group.
