The candidate will work within a team environment to continually evolve Symantec Authentication network & security infrastructure to support the complete breadth of Symantec Authentication product line. The candidate will work with internal operational and product development teams and act as the subject matter expert on issues related to routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, and other associated infrastructure as it relates to Symantec Authentication business production. The individual should be highly motivated; results oriented; have excellent communication, writing, presentation, and troubleshooting skills. The position will also be responsible for working with a team of engineers in other disciplines to provide complex and secured infrastructures for new and existing projects. The candidate must be an expert in the areas of security & network operation, and router, switch and firewall configuration, troubleshooting. Skills Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent with 4+ years of industry experience in related area. The candidate must be knowledgeable with the concepts and be an expert in troubleshooting and implementation of Network/Security infrastructure with Cisco technologies, Juniper, Nexus, Foundry and F5 load balancers & familiar working with vendors to resolve software & hardware issues. The candidate should have experience in scripting language such as shell, PERL, and expect. The candidate must have advanced knowledge of troubleshooting complex network problems in technologies including Cisco, Nexus & Juniper routing, switching, Foundry & F-5 load-balancer, and QoS.
