Hi,

Our Client is looking for *PowerBuilder Developer - NJ. *This is an long
term contract position*. The Hourly rate is DOE.* Kindly review it and let

*Overview:*

The PowerBuilder Developer creates, extends, maintains, and supports custom
PowerBuilder applications.  This position reports to Sr. VP of IT and matrix
reports to project leads.


*Responsibilities:*

-      Extend, support and maintain existing applications, developing in
PowerBuilder and SQL.

-      Estimate project time requirements.

-      Work with users and members of IT in troubleshooting problems
experienced in applications.

-      Configure, extend, administer and support commercial applications.

-      Develop new applications primarily with PowerBuilder that fulfill
business requirements.

-      Participate in requirements discussions, create design documents and
prototypes to help ensure that IT is aligned with business needs and will
meet them.

-      Interact with users, sponsors, project managers, and leads to keep IT
and the business aligned and moving in the same direction.

-      Unit test to ensure quality.

-      Ensure that code is checked out and back in according to department
procedures.

-      Produce deployment documentation, handing off these and completed
applications to Quality Assurance.

-      Create and update systems documentation.

*Technology skills and experience required:*

·         Proficiency with PowerBuilder version 11, and Sybase SQL Anywhere
v11

·         C#.Net, and Crystal Reports experience preferred

·         Financial systems experience preferred


*Also required:*

·         Driven to get the details.  Detail-oriented in nature, and can
demonstrate this orientation with examples of his/her systems analysis
related documentation.

·         Determined to understand and design solutions supporting business
processes and concepts.

·         Knowledgeable about and can explain an effective systems
development lifecycle process that he/she has participated in that helped
achieve project success.  Does not have to be an “official” standard model.

·         Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
