This position is for 5-6 months. *Experience Required *6-7 years as a mainframe SAS developer *Skills (Must Have) *Mainframe, Cobol, SAS, Microsoft Office products. Analytical and programming skills. *Education Level/Degree Type *Bachelors degree Computer Science. *Position Requirements: *Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in disciplines/processes related to the position or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with COBOL, SAS or other mainframe language/tool. Provides direction in the development and maintenance of application programs as well as participates in various phases of the development cycle. Ensures development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance with IT governance. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*: hands on contributor that may also lead projects with a large staff of developers and provide direction within his/her field of expertise. Provides detailed technical program specifications and leads testing of design and code for complex application program development. Generates requirements and analysis/design documentation for all project work, and develops technical plan for interface with new systems to ensure compliance with IT governance. Meets applicable project schedules while ensuring overall application system integrity. *MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS*: Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology and demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills.
