*Please let me know if you have any consultants for below Job need. * * * *Position : AIX Administrator* *Location :Charlotte, NC* *Duration: 6+Months * * * *TARGETED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: * Work Experience (Required): • 8+ years experience of Power (7, 6, 5) and AIX (6.1, 5.3) administration (OS/hardware) • 6+ years experience with shell scripting • 3+ years experience of REHL (5, 4) administration Working Knowledge (Nice to Have): • Systems management technologies (e.g. Tivoli Framework/related products) • LAN/WAN technologies and network protocols (e.g. routers, switches, TCP/IP) • SAN/NAS technologies (preferably Hitachi, NetApp) • Database technologies (e.g. Oracle/RAC) • UNIX high availability (HACMP, VERITAS clustering) • VMware ESX 4.0 General skills (Required) • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to produce technical documentation • Ability to work on a team or independently in a fast paced dynamic environment • Willing to write detailed documentation and adhere to corporate standards/change management policies • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required • Professional certifications (e.g. AIX) are a plus.. *SUGGESTED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION* Primary Responsibilities (Role): • UNIX System Administration for AIX Operating Systems and Power hardware. • Plan and Support corporate AIX/Power consolidation initiative. • Build AIX/Power blade infrastructure on an as needed basis. • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on systems problem resolution activities and tools. • Identifies and recommends process improvements to provide more effective troubleshooting of complex hardware and software problems. • Develop partnerships with engineering, operations, and application development groups. • Report on progress to technical lead, project manager and technology management.
